The handsome literary themed living room encourages you to linger with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine while you ponder the mysteries of the old violin, the 1924 city atlas, the Victrola, the antique cameras, the marble monk, the kaleidoscopes or just watch the flickering candles dancing in step with the music floating in the background. | ||
| The Dickenson House is a 1920's English Tudor with upscale elegance. Each differently decorated room offers an ambiance that can't be matched in a standard hotel. Rooms are named for British poets and a book of their works can be found on the nightstands. We offer private baths, central air, terry robes, hairdryers, phones, TV's and clock radios in all rooms; and even a concierge service to assist with your every need. | ![]() |

Breakfasts will delight your senses. Sumptuous breakfasts are served
in the 1880's Empire Style Dining Room.
There is a separate kitchen just for the use of our guests. Not that we expect you to cook, but it is nice to help yourself to the fully stocked refrigerator or just to make a cup of cocoa to enjoy with a few homemade cookies, sodas, juices, beer (frosty mugs), wines, cheese, nuts, fresh fruits, etc. are all "complimentary". Don't miss the Jelly Belly Jar and the souvenirs! |

Guest Amenities...Guests love to relax by a cozy fire with a book from our library; take a walk through the historic neighborhood illuminated by period street lamps, play 78's on the old crank Victrola, fit pieces in a puzzle at the game table or even get some work done at the desk in their rooms. There are phone lines in all rooms to accommodate laptops. Weather permitting the porte-cochere, with its comfy furniture, affords a unique perspective of the neighborhood. |
